2006 Eagle Rib Shack Rib Eating Contest Highlights


		Joe Menchetti "Gentleman Joe" from Connecticut won the first annual, $5,000 Winner-Take-All Eagle Rib Shack Rib Eating Contest, packing down 3.06 lbs of ribs in eight minutes.

The "First Loser" Richard Gibson "Gibby" from Boise came in second, eating 2.18 pounds.

		Ten contestants ate a mixture of pork spare ribs and baby backs. The event raised $1,500 for the Idaho Red Cross. Plans for the second annual Eagle Rib Shack Rib Eating Contest in 2007 are underway. Please send inquires to contest@eagleribshack.com.
